Merry Christmas!

We had a really fun photo shoot for our Christmas card with my parents and my brother and his family.  Here are a few of the better pictures.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with family!

And just a little disclaimer here: ten minutes before these happy photos we were in full melt-down mode at our house. Sydney was on the couch crying her eyes out in agony because of an infected toe.  I know she was in a lot of pain, but she is also a drama queen, so the tears were excessive!  Pierce was grumpily declaring that he didn't like getting his picture taken and he was not going to smile.  Who knows what Grant was doing - climbing on a table or plugging things into our outlets, probably. Anyway, somehow everyone pulled it together for the pictures and Pierce even got into it big time after declaring he did not like to have his picture taken. This is just a friendly reminder that no one's life is as perfect and put-together as it appears on those beautiful Christmas cards or on facebook.  We are all just doing the best we can and moving forward each day. So, here's to moving forward with grace, generosity, and kindness in 2014.  May the blessings of the season be with you and yours!
