I can't believe we have lived here for three years and this is the first time we've made it over to Jordan Lake. That is a little embarrassing. Anyway, we drove the long 20 minutes to this beautiful public beach today and had a picnic with the kids. It was so much fun and the weather was really picture perfect. We will definitely be back again this spring and summer. It really felt like we were at the beach when we were there today because there was a nice little breeze and the water was washing up on the shore. Actually, it was better than the beach because parking was free, the drive was shorter and we didn't get all salty.
